Gable Conservatories

  • If you want to add a stylish addition to your home then look no further than our beautiful gable conservatories.

Gable end conservatories are both practical and visually attractive – with a high vaulted roof that lets plenty of natural light in. This conservatory has a very light and spacious feel due to the unique sloping roof, perfect for entertaining and relaxing. If you want to make a statement in your home, consider the stunning gable conservatory.

The unique design of this conservatory will really set your home apart from others of the street. The gable conservatory has a beautiful, distinctive glass front section, which you can personalise to make truly stand out. At CTG, we can help you decide on your design, whether this is plain or bespoke. There are no style restrictions to this conservatory, unlike the Edwardian or Victorian conservatory. This means that whatever you style and taste we can help you find the perfect design for your home.

The design of gable end conservatories means that they are perfect if you want to add blinds. If the summer sun gets too hot inside your conservatory you can simply close the blinds and continue to enjoy your conservatory.

A gable end conservatory is also great as it suits any type of property. Whether you have a modern or period property a gable end conservatory can be a stunning addition. The design is very similar to a Georgian or gothic style which can be seen on large country estates. We also offer a range of finishes – this means that you can match your gable end conservatory to your home.

  • With a gable-end conservatory, the front of the roof doesn’t slope back to the centre. Instead, the front of the conservatory stays upright, like the end of a house – this is often called a sunburst effect. This is where the gable-end conservatory style gets its name from. A gable-end conservatory is square or rectangular in shape, providing you maximum space and light.

What is a Gable conservatory?

A gable conservatory – sometimes known as a gable-end conservatory- is an elegant and stylish conservatory that stands out from the rest. Many other conservatory designs have a roof that slopes towards the house, however, a gable conservatory has a completely upright front and forms the shape of a triangle. There are two pitches that form the roof and slope either side of the centre of the frame, giving the signature spacious nature of this conservatory.

The design of the front of the conservatory is what gives it the name. There is the potential to choose your own design, although most customers choose a sunburst design for a classic look.

Why choose a Gable conservatory?

As with any conservatory, a gable conservatory is a great way to extend your living space. The square or rectangular shape means whatever the shape of your garden, a gable conservatory can fit into it. The shape of a gable conservatory also makes it much easier to furnish than a conservatory with bay windows.

Gable conservatories were popular during the Georgian period and are perfect if you want to enhance the period features of your home. The vertical front section of a gable conservatory means there is a much larger and more spacious feel than other types of conservatories. If you want to see this design in person then pay a visit to our local showroom.

Are Gable conservatories energy efficient?

At Britannia we aim to make all our conservatories as energy efficient as possible, that’s why we use the best materials to ensure this is the case with every conservatory – gable conservatories are no exception. We use the best glazing alongside expert installation to ensure your home is energy efficient. With our gable conservatories, we often install a tiled roof or dwarf walls to help reduce heat loss in the winter without compromising on light.

Are Gable conservatories secure?

We work hard to ensure all our conservatories are secure, that’s why all our products have been approved by the UK Police-led Secured by Design initiative. This helps to reduce burglaries by continuing to improve design elements of doors and windows. All the glass we use in our conservatories is toughened to further protect your home. The mechanisms on all our doors and windows are to the highest standard, making it difficult to break in from the outside. However, it is always advisable to store electronics and valuables away from the conservatory.
